The city of Cape Town is vibrant with many cultures contributing to its architecture and food. We especially loved the Bo-Kaap (Malay) district, with its unique art and delicious curry.
Table Mountain is a constant backdrop to the city, the waterfront, and the magical botanical gardens at its base. The views are breathtaking.
The coastal drive to The Cape of Good Hope is stunning. Visiting Cape Point on a windy, rainy day made us feel a bit like explorers. The weather didn’t seem to bother the two most popular Point squatters. The baboons, who our driver refers to as “gangsters”, and the African penguin colony that has found a safe harbor to breed.
